AFA, 295 State Drive (Box 21-5)

Company 21 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 295 State Drive in Washington Township at the Upper Dauphin Human Services Building for an automatic fire alarm. Truck 22 responded with 7 and was canceled by Command 21 while enroute.
2018
Accident with no injuries, 672 Main Street (Box 22-1)

While the Truck and Utility were working the ongoing call in Northumberland County, Lykens PD requested fire police to assist at the scene of a two vehicle non injury accident in front of Boyers grocery store at 672 Main Street in Lykens. Four company members responded to assist the police department with traffic control until they were released.
2018
Commercial Structure Fire, 68 Spain Rd (Box 65-1)

Dauphin County companies 26 27 28 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to the Michaels Foods plant at 68 Spain Road in Upper Mahoney Township in Northumberland County for a commercial structure, fire showing from the roof. Truck 22 responded with 7 and Utility 22 with 5. When the second alarm was eventually struck companies 21 and 23 were added to the box. On the arrival of the Truck they took side A of a 4 story 200 by 300 foot steel egg production facility with smoke and fire from the roof. They went to the roof to ventilate while the rest of the crew went interior and conducted primary searches on floors 1 through 3. Crews from 26, 27, and 28 were interior searching for the seat of the fire. The source of the fire was eventually located and the fire had burned itself out. Crews remained on scene assisting with suppression activities until released by command.

Structure Fire, 2525 West Main St (Box S.C.)

Dauphin County Company 27 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to 2525 West Main Street in Hubley Township Schuylkill County at the Pine Creek Coal Company for a reported structure fire. Truck 22 responded with 6 and was canceled as they were near Big Run.

Motorcycle Fire, 412 Main Street Rear (Box 22-1)

Company 22 dispatched class one to the rear of 412 Main Street in Lykens for a motorcycle on fire. Chief 22 went enroute POV, and Chief 22-1 arrived on scene to find the fire out. He placed the box in service before any response.
2014
Medical Assist, 559 North Second Street (Box 22-1)
Detail >>
Company 22 dispatched class one to 559 North Second Street in Lykens to assist Medic 6 with lifting a patient. Truck 22 responded with 6 and Chief 22 went POV to the scene. On arrival, the crew assisted EMS with packaging and transferring the patient to their transport unit, and then went available.
2008
Electrical Fire, 104 East Market Street (Box 24-1)
Detail >>
Truck 22 was dispatched along with Company 23 and Schuylkill 66 to assist Company 24 for a reported fire in a electrical meter base at 104 East Market Street in Williamstown. Truck 22 responded with a crew of seven and was canceled by command while en route.

Chuck Matter Shot his Big Grizzly Bear - Alberta, Canada

On May 24, 1974, Charles Matter, of Lykens, shot a large Grizzly Bear in Alberta, Canada. The bear was eight feet nine inches tall and weighed 1,200 pounds. It had a waist measurement of 6? feet and skull measurement of 26-7/16 inches. He brought the bear back to Lykens, and took it to Jim Ender's Taxidermy shop to have it mounted. It was on display at Ender's shop for a time before Matter took it to his Market Street home.

Bus Accident - Panama Canal Zone

On May 26, 1971, a bus crashed through the guardrail on a bridge and fell 150 feet into the Panama Canal, killing 38 passengers.
