The Liberty Hose Company No. 2 Band was started in July, 1939. It thrives today as one of the better musical organizations
in the area, having competed for and won many prizes. They won State Championship in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1981, 1993, 1995, and 1996. Today the band is made up of fire company members and citizens of the surrounding area.
