Ettinger's Barn Fire

A large barn on the John W. Ettinger farm was destroyed by fire on January 20, 1932. The fire was discovered at 6:45 p.m. and the Halifax and Community Fire Company answered the call. 10 head of hogs were killed, 100 bushels of wheat, and 250 bushels of oats were destroyed. The loss was $3,000. |
