Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #1545

Lieutenant 22 and Lieutenant 22-1 were on the scene at 512 Market Street with heavy black smoke coming from the chimney. For about ten minutes they tried to make contact with any of the three residents of the property. Failing to make any contact, Lieutenant 22 reported the incident to County by radio to have the call dispatched. Truck 22 responded with a crew of four, and Engine 22 responded with a crew of two. A furnace repairman arrived on the scene at the same time as the truck and engine. He said that he has been working on the furnace all morning trying to correct the problem and there was no need for the fire company to be there. Lieutenant 22 then placed the box in-service, and the units returned and went available.
