A quick knockdown of a kitchen fire using fire extinguishers at 624 Main Street on February 16, 2010 prevented what could have been a worse incident. Engine 22 was out of service at the time of the fire, but Truck 22 responded and laid 5-inch supply hose from the square. Luckily the hose was not needed. This photo shows some clean up activity after the home was ventilated of remaining smoke. Dan Hoke is seen reassembling the hydrant bag in preparation for re-packing the hose bed. Jim Hoffman is walking in the background and Joe Lower is shutting down the PPV fan.
