Plane Crash
Jackson Twp, Dauphin Co, PA

October 18, 1976

A single-engine airplane crashed on Berry Mountain about a mile southeast of Elizabethville early on the morning of Monday, October 18, 1976. Four people aboard the plane were killed in the crash, which dug a hole into the ground. The plane took off from Harrisburg International Airport at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, October 17th, bound for Northumberland County Airport near Elysburg. There were snow showers and freezing rain on that Sunday night, but it was not determined if that is what caused the accident. The bodies were identified as Guy Bruce Klisscher, age 24, of Aristes, suspected to be the piolt; Ellsworth Schultz, age 62, of Catawissa RD; Marian Schultz, age 61, of Catawissa RD; and Dennis Walter, age 31, of Catawissa RD.
