Companies 22 & 23 were dispatched to the Lykens Elementary School for an automatic fire alarm. Engine 22 responded, with Chief 22 responding to the scene POV. He arrived on scene and was met by a maintenance worker who advised that he was painting the walls in the hallway, and had accidentally tripped the alarm system. Chief 22 placed Company 23 in service. Engine 22 arrived on scene, and the crew checked the building with the Chief and confirmed a false trip. The engine then went available.
