Company 22 was dispatched to South Street at the Lou Miller residence for a chimney fire. Engine 22 responded, and when arriving on scene, laddered the building and sent a crew to the roof to attempt to extinguish the fire. Numerous attempts were made with chimney "bombs" and CO2 extinguishers, to no avail. During the process, one attempt was made with a dry chem extinguisher, which caused some problems on the first floor. Finally, as a last resort, water was applied and the stubborn fire was put out.
