Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3470

Engine 22 in place of the out of service Engine 23 dispatched class one on the 23-3 box to the intersection of Hill street and Coaldale road in Wiconisco township for an accident involving a car and a tractor trailer. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Utility 22 with 3. On arrival the Engine staged on Hill street and split crew with 4 members going to the car to secure it and 2 going to the patient to begin treatment. Utility 22 dropped off two crew members at the scene and went to the intersection of Coaldale road and Route 209 to block traffic. The car battery was disconnected and the patient was stabilized and turned over to EMS upon the arrival of Ambulance 24-2. Company 22 members assisted on the scene with scene safety and cleanup until released by command.
