Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3348

Truck and Engine 22 dispatched class one on the 24-1 structure box to 329 Julian street for smoke in a structure. Truck 22 responded with 4 and Engine 22 with 2. The Truck arrived via Water street to Julian and staged side A of a 28 foot by 52 foot 2 and one half story wood frame single family dwelling and sent manpower to the basement. Investigation determined this to be a wood burner with a blocked flue pipe. Engine 22 arrived and staged at a hydrant at Water and Julian streets. Crews pulled the wood burner pipes which were filled with embers and brought them outside. Crews also checked the first and second floors with TICs and found nothing. As crews were wrapping things up another chimney fire in the 24 first due came in and Engine and Truck 22 were cleared of this event.
