Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3309

Company 22 and Engine 23 dispatched class one to Rattling Creek Apartments at 15 South Second street in Lykens for an automatic fire alarm. Engine 22 responded with 3 and Truck 22 with 3. Rescue 23 responded with 4. On arrival at a 4 story 53 foot by 132 foot high rise apartment building the Engine took side D with the hydrant and Truck 22 took side A. Rescue 23 staged at Main and Arlington at the hydrant for a secondary water supply. Crews went interior having been advised that the alarm was coming from the 4th floor in the east stairwell. There were no audible or visual alarms sounding in the building other than beeps from the alarm panel in the first floor lobby. Investigation found no problems or trouble anywhere in the building. The building supervisor contacted the alarm company to have a repair technician sent out and command placed the box available.
