Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3264

Chief 22 was alerted by phone to a crash that occurred in the area of Main and Pine streets in Lykens Borough. On arrival at the scene there was one pickup truck in the middle of the road down by the American Legion and numerous signs taken off, a porch struck, and a pole hit and destroyed in front of 464 Main street. He then requested Company 22 for traffic control. Engine 22 responded with 2 and Utility 22 with 2. Eight additional members responded to the scene POV. On arrival the The crew secured the scene for safety and diverted traffic off the 400 block of Main street diverting it at Main and West and Main and Pine. Eventually the road closure was expanded to Main and Market streets. The driver of the pickup was not injured. PSP arrived on scene and the crew waited for the arrival of PPL. On their arrival they also brought personnel to handle traffic diversion. The incident was turned over to PPL and the Company went available.
