Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3212

Engine 22, Engine and Rescue 23, Rescue 21 and Truck 20 for the out of service Truck 22 dispatched class one to 132 Main Street in Lykens for an outlet sparking. Engine 22 responded with 4 and one member was POV on scene. On arrival at a 22 foot by 47 foot one story single family dwelling with nothing showing from the exterior the Engine staged on side B with a hydrant across the street. Investigation found that the occupant attempted to thaw frozen pipes using a hair dryer and the ground fault outlet popped and tripped. A TIC was used to check temps in the area of the outlet with all readings normal. No smoke or haze noted. Command held the box to Engine 22. Further investigation found nothing out of the ordinary. Command placed the box available.
