Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3180

Company 22 dispatched class one to 557 Main Street in Lykens for a smoke alarm sounding. Engine 22 responded with 5 from the Market Street side and arrived at the A/D corner. Truck 22 responded with 4 from the Pine Street side and took side A/B of a 2 and one half story multi family duplex apartment building with an alarm sounding from the second floor. Truck crew pulled a ladder to the D side and accessed a short roof to an open second floor window to gain entry. After unlocking the front door the Engine and Truck crews searched the apartment and found a faulty detector on the D side second floor room and removed it. A search of the entire apartment with the TIC found nothing and the box was placed available.
