Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3166

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 27-1 box to 101 south center street in Gratz Borough for a working commercial structure fire. Truck 22 responded with 7 and on arrival at a two story approx 100 by 200 foot wooden barn structure that was fully involved were instructed to go to the C side and set up master stream operations and be supplied by Engine 27. The crew also laddered the D side of the structure and flowed a hand line into the upper floor from that side. The crew in the bucket flowed both deck guns for an extended period of time while other crews were knocking down fire from the ground level. This continued for some time. Eventually salvage and overhaul began and the crew assisted until released by Command 27.
