Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3156

Engine and Truck 22 dispatched on the first alarm to 347 Weaver Road in Mifflin Township at S and L Spindles for a working commercial structure fire. Engine 22 responded with 4 and Truck 22 with 3 and 3 additional members went POV to the scene. This fire would eventually reach 3 alarms. On arrival at an extremely large manufacturing facility with very heavy fire showing the Engine beached and sent manpower forward. The Truck set up on side B and put the aerial in service. Supplied by Engine 27 the Truck put two stangs in service from the bucket and along with Trucks 20 from Millersburg and Perry Truck 2 from Duncannon put water from above on the fire knocking down a significant amount of visible fire. Rescue 28 set up on the A/B side and drafted from a porta tank and supplied Engine 27 on side B who in turn supplied Truck 22. Engine 20 drafted from a porta tank on side A/D and supplied Truck 20 on side C and Engine 26 on side A who in turn supplied Perry Truck 2. Interior crews from many companies began overhaul from the interior which went on for quite some time. Crews continued with fire suppression until eventually released by Command 26.
