Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3039

Truck 22 dispatched class one on the 19-2 box to 88 Hemlock Road at the Girl Scout Camp for a high angle rescue. Truck 22 went enroute with 5, along with companies 19, 21, 216, 23, 29, Harrisburg City Rescue 1 and EMS from 13 and 6. The Truck arrived on scene and staged in the camp parking lot while a couple members gathered the rope rigging gear and jumped on board one of the gators being used to shuttle personnel back to the scene of the incident. An individual was approximately 30 feet in the air and entangled in the rappelling gear being used at the time. Crews worked for quite some time to secure and lower the patient to the ground who was then brought out by gator to an LZ established next to the camp main building where Life Lion was waiting. After the patient and helo left the scene the crews were released and the box placed available.
