While members were preparing to respond to the AFA at Reiff and Nestor (see call 59) the county advised Chief 22 that a second call was being received for a cardiac arrest at 435 North Street in Lykens. Rescue 23 was all ready on the street to the AFA and was diverted to the cardiac arrest. Utility 22 went enroute with 2. Rescue and Utility arrived on scene and began resuscitation efforts. After several rounds of CPR and one delivered shock pulses were detected. EMS from Medic 6 arrived and the crews assisted them with patient care and transfer of the patient to their transport unit. Fire units were then placed available.
