Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #3017

Company 22 officers alerted to an oil spill in the alley behind Dairy Queen at 627 Main Street in Lykens. Chiefs 22 and 22-2 Captain 22 and one firefighter responded to the scene. The business owner had contacted a disposal company to clean up about 10 to 15 gallons of oil spilled in the alley. Crew barricaded off the rear entrance of the business and got barricades to block the alley as well as some high dry to assist in containing the oil. After the arrival of the disposal company the crew assisted with cleanup until released by command.
