Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #2999

Company 21, 26 and Truck 22 dispatched class one to the Elizabethville Quarry at 3633 Route 225 in Washington Township for a commercial structure fire. Truck 22 went enroute with 7 and one member POV and on arrival was directed back into the quarry to the B side of a 40 foot by 40 foot 5 story asphalt plant with smoke pouring from the top of it. Crews from Engine and Rescue 21 were on the landing of the top floor while the Truck set up and began ripping metal siding off the building to gain access to where the fire was located. Tankers 21 and 26 also on scene. As openings were made water was put on exposed areas of fire. This continued for quite some time until all hidden fire was dug out and extinguished. The Truck continued with ripping off metal sheeting until control was marked and command began releasing units. The Truck was later cleared from the event.
