Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #2910

Company 24 and 22 dispatched class one to the rear of 421 Elizabeth Street in Williamstown on Hemlock Street for a garage fire. Chief 24 reported that he had a glow from station 24 and stated they had a working fire. Truck 22 responded with 4, Engine 22 with 6 and Utility 22 with 2. Tanker 24 responded and arrived on the scene with a working fire endangering several other garages. They deployed two hand lines and made a quick knockdown of an approximately 10 foot by 20 foot one story garage. Truck 22 arrived on scene and staged on Grant Street and sent their manpower forward. Engine 22 staged on Grant Street at Elizabeth Street at a hydrant and sent their manpower forward. Utility 22 staged behind Engine 22. Command marked control and the crew assisted 24 with overhaul and extinguishment of remaining areas of the garage with pockets of fire. Crews using a TIC checked the surrounding garages that had melted siding for hot spots and found none. Engine 22 re-positioned on Hemlock Street and using a 3 inch line fed their tank water to Tanker 24. After completing overhaul Command 24 released the Engine, Truck and Utility and they went available.
