Company 22 dispatched class one on the 23-2 box to One Stop Recycling at 1855 Pottsville Street in Wiconisco Township for multiple cars on fire. Lieutenant 23-1 on scene was reporting a minimum of 20 cars burning. Engine 22 responded with 6, Utility 22 with 4, Truck 22 with 7 and other members POV. On arrival, Engine 22 was assigned the fill site at the hydrant across from Medco. The fire was located at a recycling center with stacks of cars on fire and crews using hand lines and deck gun to control the fire.The Utility was requested to send its manpower to the scene. The Truck was called to the scene for manpower later into the incident after standing by in station with 7. Ten tankers were dispatched to provide sufficient water to be shuttled to the scene from the fill site a few hundred yards from the scene. Schuylkill Ladder 58-25 was relocated to Station 22. Numerous other units were moved up to relocate to upper county stations. Engine 22 set up at the hydrant at Medco and was filling two tankers at a time. A total of 40 loads were filled among 10 tankers totaling approximately 110,000 gallons of water moved. Control was marked at 17:43 and command began releasing units. Company 22 was placed available by command when there were no more tankers to be filled.
