Engine and Tanker 22 were dispatched to assist Companies 23 and 24 with a structure fire at 400 Wiconisco Street in Wiconisco Township, at the Reinoehl residence. Engine 22 responded with a crew of seven and arrived on scene to find a house with smoke and flames coming from the second floor, and fire extension into the attic. Crews pulled ladders, set them up on side-2, and sent two crew members to the roof with a K-12 saw to vent the roof. Company 23 and 24 crews were working their way inside up toward the second floor, and Company 22 crew members entered through second floor windows. Extensive suppression, overhaul, and salvage was performed. The incident was initially reported over Med-9 radio by a Medic-6 crewmember. The cause of fire was determined to be from a small child playing with matches in the second floor bathroom. The toilet paper roll was ignited. Fire then spread to the curtains, up across the ceiling, and throughout the rest of the house.
