Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #2222

Company 22, 23, 21 and Truck 20 for the out of service Truck 22 dispatched class one to 317 Main Street in Lykens for a reported basement fire. Engine 22 responded with 4, Utility 22 with 2, Engine 23 with 6, Truck 20 with 6, Engine 21 with 6, Rescue 21 with 4, and Rescue 23 with 2. Chief 23 on scene reported it to be a furnace malfunction. Engine 22 laid a 5 inch line from the hydrant at West and Main to side A, but did not charge it. Command 22 held the box to companies 22 and 23. Crews set up negative pressure fans and took CO readings. After 20 minutes of venting and a recheck of readings showed 0, the box was placed in service.
