The 27-1 box dispatched for a structure fire at 859 East Market Street, sending companies 27, 26, 28. Northumberland 65 and Truck 22. Multiple calls reported a fully involved structure and the box was upgraded to the first alarm, sending additional units from 20, 21, 23, and Schuylkill 14-10. Truck 22 responded with 7, and Utility 22 with 3. On arrival the Truck had side A and set up for master stream operations on a fully involved ranch home with fire showing everywhere. Engines 27 and 28 dropped 5 inch from a hydrant by the fair grounds and laid out approximately 2000 feet to Rescue 28, which supplied Engine 27 which supplied Truck 22. Rescue 21 was added to the hose relay by the hydrant to boost pressure. The structure eventually collapsed on itself, and crews had extensive overhaul and extinguishment to perform. PSP and Dauphin County fire marshal called to the scene. Crews continued with suppression activities and overhaul, with the Utility crew supplementing the RIT team for Rescue 23 until the arrival of Truck 20. Schuylkill Rescue Engine 650 was re-located to Station 22. Command began releasing units after control was marked, and the Truck and Utility crew assisted Engine 27 with getting their hose bed re-packed before being released from the scene and available.
