Engines 22, 23, and 24 dispatched class one to the mountain above Williamstown on Berry Mountain Road in the 216-8 box for a logging tractor on fire. Engine 22 responded with 6 and Chief 22 POV. Company 23 was requested to respond with their Tanker and Brush. The Tanker responded with 2 and the Brush with 3 and Chief 23 POV. Engine 24 responded with 6. Access to the site of the vehicle on fire was extremely difficult, with various rigs attempting to get to it using various logging and game roads. Brush and Tanker 23 were first to get to the scene, along with Chiefs 22 and 23. Engine 22 was never able to get to the scene. Engine 24 did arrive on location. Units on scene extinguished the fire and did overhaul. Company 21 was placed on standby while all 3 companies had their manpower and rigs in the mountain. Engine 22 stood by with the forestry and EMS crews on the mountain until command determined that their services were not needed, and they were released. Engine 22 was placed available once they got back into Dauphin County from Rt. 209 at 12:41, and Company 21 was taken off standby. The remaining units were still on scene for an extended time performing overhaul.
