Early in the morning of March 11th, Company 22 was alerted to fast rising water from the Rattling and Wiconisco creeks. Chief 22-2 requested that Company 22 be alerted to prepare to evacuate residents and pump basements in various locations throughout the Borough. 13 members responded to the public service call. Various locations throughout the Borough were affected, with members pumping or assisting residents at 342 Railroad Street, 629 North Street, 189 North Street, 403 South Second Street, 310 Spruce Street, 660 North Street, 191 North Street, and the entire 200 block of Market Street. After the high water receded, pumping details were finished, and a long day concluded with the release of all members by Chief 22 from their duties.
