Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #1823

At the request of Chief 23, Engine 22 dispatched to respond to Station 23 to assist in setting up a landing zone for two incoming helicopters. Companies 23, 66, and 24 all ready dispatched to Railroad Street and Route 209 in Williamstown for a two vehicle head on crash with 4 injuries and multiple entrapment. EMS requested two patients to be flown, and Life Lion from Hershey and Life Flight from Danville were dispatched. Engine 22 responded class one with 6, and Chief 22 went to the LZ by POV. On arrival, Engine 22 set up the second LZ at the L & W ballfield while Engine 23 had the first LZ set up in the Station 23 parking lot. Chief 23 was LZ officer. Crew assisted with the transfer of the second patient from Medic 6 transport unit to the Life Flight helicopter, and then went available.
