Company 22 was dispatched to the parking lot of the Northern Dauphin Library at 683 Main Street in Lykens for a reported pickup truck on fire. The driver of the truck had purchased it the day before, and was driving it home. When going past the Library on Arch Street, he heard a pop from the hood and saw smoke. He pulled into the empty parking lot and lifted the hood to find the vehicle in flames, and called 911. Engine 22 responded with a crew of six and set up on Spruce Street. One 2-inch line was pulled and the truck, by then well involved, was extinguished. Medic 620 and Lykens PD were also on scene. After extinguishing the fire, the crew assisted with cleanup. After the truck was towed away, Engine 22 went available.
