Mr. Hyman Fetterhoff, of Lykens, employed at the Morris Forman furniture establishment, had an unfortunate event on Saturday evening, October 13, 1934, just at dusk, when his Ford coupe caught fire and was totally demolished in front of the Park View Terrace on West Main Street. Mr. Fetterhoff had just replenished his gas tank at Phillip Jones on West Main Street when in some unexplainable manner, his car ignited. The firemen of the Lykens Fire Department responded to a call and subdued the flames, only after the car was so badly burned that it was beyond repair.
