Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 - Incident Detail #1467

The one unit experimental plant of the American Briquette Company of Lykens was damaged on Monday morning, September 26, 1949, at 10:20AM, when fire was discovered near the roof in the vicinity of the steam boiler stack. Although Liberty Hose Company of Lykens responded quickly to a call for help, damage was estimated at several thousand dollars. Repairs were made and the plant was back in operation in a couple of weeks.
