Company-22 was dispatched to assist EMS with a report of a patient electrocuted at 225 South Second Street. Truck-22 responded with a crew of seven and Chief-22 responded POV. Upon arrival, the crew found a one-story mobile home with several people waiting outside. The patient was already being tended to in a Medic-6 unit. The patient informed the crew that she attempted to plug in a curling iron when she received a shock through her hand. Inspection of interior found that the circuit breaker in the rear bedroom had tripped and there was a curling iron on the floor, unplugged. The outlet was slightly charred and an alarm clock, also plugged into the same outlet, had a slightly charred plug. Removal of the outlet cover revealed a broken and charred outlet. The property owner was advised to not use that circuit and to contact an electrician to replace the outlet. The company went available.
