The fire alarm sounded at about 11:30 o'clock on Sunday morning, May 15, 1917. The company responded to the home of Mrs. Henry Feindt on South Second Street. The rear part of the house was on fire, but was soon put out. This might have been a serious fire but for the quick response of the company.
